The Renault Kiger has received a mid-cycle update after nearly 5 years since the compact SUV was first launched. The 2025 Kiger comes with a slight hike in prices, additional features and a new nomenclature for its variants, and it continues to rival the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Maruti Fronx, and more. Let us take a look at what the Kiger's powertrain options, variants and feature list now look like.

Renault Kiger new vs old prices

Kiger price has gone up by up to Rs 35,000

While the outgoing Renault Kiger was on sale in 4 trims – RXE, RXL, RXT(O) and RXZ – the latest update swaps them with Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion, respectively. This is very similar to what Renault has opted for with the Triber facelift. Comparatively, the Kiger base model – Authentic – carries a Rs 15,000 premium, and the Evolution trims above are costlier by Rs 20,000. Next, the standard Techno trims have become pricier by Rs 20,000, while the Techno Turbo price is unchanged. The top-spec Kiger trims see the highest price, between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000.

Renault Kiger new vs old exterior design

Redesigned bumpers, alloy wheels; fog lamps introduced

After the Triber, the Kiger SUV is the second Renault model in India to get the carmaker's new logo. The front has received the most changes, including a slimmer nose, redesigned bumper with a Triber-like silver surround trim and fog lights. 16-inch alloy wheels have a new design as well, and there are new graphics under the doors and on the C-pillar.

For the rear, the font for the 'KIGER' lettering is new, just like the silver trim on the rear bumper. Notably, sheet metal changes are exclusive to the bonnet.

Renault Kiger new vs old interior features

6 airbags now; 360 degree camera, ventilated seats also added

As anticipated, subtle changes have been made to the cabin. The Kiger interior’s layout is largely the same; the dashboard gets a new black and light grey colour combination. The safety quotient has been improved, with all variants getting 6 airbags as standard (previously up to 4), along with ESP, a tyre pressure monitor (TPMS), and hill start assist. The Kiger top model adds ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera setup and automatic headlights and wipers.

Renault Kiger new vs old engine and gearbox options

Same 3 cylinder NA and turbo petrol engines

As before, the Renault SUV continues to be offered with the same 4 powertrain options. The 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine gets 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT options, while the 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit has CVT and 5-speed manual gearbox options. CNG kit retrofitment option will be available, too.
