    2025 Toyota Taisor update details

Six airbags are standard equipment now

Prior to the 2025 update, the Taisor came with two airbags in lower variants and six in the higher trims. Now, Toyota offers six airbags across all Taisor variants. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, on which the Taisor is based, was also recently updated to offer six airbags as standard. Notably, Maruti raised the Fronx price by about 0.5 percent with the model year update, while the Taisor prices have gone up by nearly a percent.

    New dark blue colour introduced

Besides the safety upgrade, Toyota now offers an additional ‘Bluish Black’ paint option for the Taisor. This colour looks like a darker iteration of the Fronx’s Nexa Blue finish.

Same duo of petrol engines on offer

Toyota has not introduced any changes to the Taisor’s powertrain offerings, so buyers can opt for either a 90hp 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 100hp 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol motor.

Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual as standard, with the 1.2-litre engine additionally getting a 5-speed AMT and the 1.0-litre turbo unit a 6-speed torque converter. There’s a 78hp 1.2-litre petrol-CNG powertrain on offer too, but it’s available solely with the manual gearbox in the E trim level.

    All prices are ex-showroom, India.
