The Eeco, one of the most popular MPVs on sale in India, has been updated with more safety features and a new 6-seat layout that replaces the older 7-seat model. The Maruti Eeco comes with a petrol engine or a petrol-CNG version with a factory-fitted CNG kit and is also available in 5-seat and 6-seat configuration. Maruti Eeco price starts at Rs 5.69 lakh, ex-showroom, and the on-road price will come to around Rs 8 lakh in 2025.
Maruti Eeco new features
The new Maruti Eeco 6-seater comes with captainโs seats in the second row. Additionally, this 3-row budget MPV now gets 6 airbags as standard compared to just 2 airbags in the front earlier and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. Aside from these, it offers anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, electronic brake force distribution and seatbelt reminders for the front seats. Even in 2025, it does not come with power steering.
Maruti Eeco rivals in India
In India, the Maruti Eeco rivals the Renault Triber and the lower variants of the Maruti Ertiga, and in the coming months, the new Nissan B-MPV will also take on its higher variants. The Eeco has been around for over a decade and is Maruti Suzukiโs most affordable MPV. It is essentially a utilitarian version of the discontinued Maruti Versa, which was positioned at the premium end of the segment.
