We first reported back in May that a larger TVS Ntorq was in the works, and the manufacturer has now confirmed that the Ntorq 150 will be launched on September 4. The Ntorq has long been the benchmark among Indian-made sporty 125cc scooters, and TVS is looking to take things a step further with this higher-displacement model.

TVS Ntorq 150: What we know so far

The Ntorq 150 will rival the Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox

The 150-170cc scooter segment has been steadily growing with models like the liquid-cooled Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155 (which sold 22,928 units in FY2025, up 24 percent year-on-year), along with the air-cooled Aprilia SR 175. The upcoming Ntorq 150 will be TVS’s entrant into this space.

A key question is whether the new Ntorq 150 will use a liquid-cooled or air-cooled engine. A liquid-cooled motor would give it a performance edge to rival the Aerox and Xoom, while an air-cooled unit would help keep costs competitive.

So far, TVS has only shared a teaser image revealing the scooter’s front apron, highlighted by a bold quad-LED headlamp cluster with a distinctive split design. This suggests that the larger Ntorq will retain the aggressive, performance-oriented styling of its 125cc sibling. Thanks to the bigger engine and the regulations that apply to scooters above 150cc, the Ntorq 150 will also be equipped with at least single-channel ABS.

With the Yamaha Aerox 155 priced at Rs 1.51 lakh and the Hero Xoom 160 at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), expect TVS to position the Ntorq 150 in a similar ballpark.
